DataTalks JLM Meetup #7 – AI in the fields of VR and AR+VR Demos

December 2 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

DataTalks JLM is celebrating the recently-signed collaboration with Start-Up Nation Central with a very special Hanukkah meetup.

In this meetup, we will have two great lectures about how to incorporate AI in the fields of AR and VR, and a quick intro to the very fascinating field of Graph Neural Networks. In addition, we will have demonstrations of different cutting-edge VR devices to try out. Some of these devices were developed in the Tower of David (ToD) Innovation Lab, where the meetup will be hosted.

For the demonstration part, it will useful to install in advance on your phones the applications “wiki360” and “Appearia”

As always, food (sushi and sufganyot) and drinks are on us. We thank ToD Innovation Lab for the generous hospitality!

PAY ATTENTION: Due to the Night Spectacular happening, we will not be able to accept anyone coming after 19:15, so please be there on time.

Space is limited, if you are registered but are not planning to attend, please cancel your RSVP.

Updated Agenda:

18:30 – 19:10: Food, drinks and VR demos
19:10 – 19:15: Presentation of the ToD Innovation lab.
19:15 – 19:45: Amit Shaked – Lead of Deep Learning & AI @ Magic Leap: Toward Artificial General Intelligence in the world of Mixed Reality: on Graph Neural Networks and Knowledge Graphs.
19:45 – 20:15: Tom Ben Yehuda – CEO @ Cellolo Ltd: Mixing VR with AI in UNREAL ENGINE.
20:15 – 20:40: Short presentations of ToD Innovation Lab startups: SixRealities, Mars, Insomnia.
20:40 – 20:45: Presentation of future activities of DataTalks JLM.
20:45 – 21:00: Networking.

First talk:
Title: Toward Artificial General Intelligence in the world of Mixed Reality
Abstract: Mixed Reality is all about harmonizing the digital content and our world as we know it. But how can a virtual agent understand our physical world and interact with it? And what can we do with it? So far, defining characteristics of human intelligence have remained out of reach, but recent advancements in Graph Neural Networks and Knowledge Graphs are now enabling virtual agents to do more sophisticated, interpretable, and flexible patterns of reasoning.
In this talk, I’ll give an introduction to the two worlds of Mixed Reality and Artificial General Intelligence, and present the recent breakthrough in Deep Learning architectures: Graph Convolutional Networks.

Second talk:
Title: Mixing VR with AI in UNREAL ENGINE.
Abstract: TBD

See you,
DataTalks JLM team
